Five Questions I Five answers
What is it like to be an artist today?
Redon wrote: “The artist come to life for a mysterious accomplishment. He is an accident. Nothing is waiting for him in the social world”. These timeless words define quite rightly what an artist is: out of time and out of the ordinary.
How would you define your work in 5 words?
Colors, journeys, balance, temperament, self-demanding.
What is the best tool to create a work of art? why?
Instincts and generosity, determination and requirement, energy, inspiration, desire, to be visionary and, above all, remain oneself.
What message do you wish to convey through your art?
I like very much this sentence of Zola: “A work of art is a corner of the creation seen through a temperament”. Through the singular movements and the energy my paintings release, all an oneiric symbolic aims to make the viewer travel. I wish to offer these moments of pleasure and well-being through the intimacy of my art.
Which facet of your art are you presenting in this exhibition?
This exhibition displays a series of generous works where mystery and music are omnipresent. The pictorial matter gives relief to my painting, contrasting with slight transparences and shows the remarkable bound I have with earth and nature.
